On a Monday morning in March we are allowed to visit Abby, who got a completely new nursery for the Tuk Make-Over photoshoot. Together we get in the car to Alkmaar to admire the end result of the make-over, where Abby has recently moved into a new house with her parents Nathalie and Mathijs and big brother Jonah. Especially for Tuk Make-Over, Elina came up with a cozy and colorful girls' room, which perfectly matched Abby's cheerful character! With of course a number of paint colors from the Day at the Zoo paint collection! We would love to inspire you with the original combination of paint colors and wallpaper.
Nursery wallpaper and paint color inspiration
Just before Abby's parents started painting and wallpapering, we released our brand new paint color collection. Our newest paint color Fairytale Forest, a golden yellow shade, combined very nicely with the pink striped wallpaper Isa by Studio Pieni. But not only the wall behind the bed got a beautiful wallpaper! A second wallpaper print is shown in the play corner in the room. Above the painted wainscoting with paint color Bonbon you can see the neutral and timeless floral wallpaper Fleur by Studio Pieni.
Girls room paint colors and pink stripes wallpaper
The combination of paint colors and wallpaper makes for a cheerful toddler room, but is timeless enough to grow with Abby. Extra colorful accents are made in the room with accessories such as posters, bedding and the rug. In the future it is easy to bring back a different style in the room with new decorations!
Abby's mother Nathalie says about the colours in the room: "If I look at what we found most surprising about this Tuk Make-Over, it is the combination of paint colours and wallpaper patterns. We saw in advance from the samples that the colours matched each other, but we still had our doubts, because it might all be too different and too daring for us. But once we started wallpapering and painting, we immediately saw that it was really perfect. A nice poppy, but not too sweet room for a girl who can be incredibly happy here at 2 years old, but also at 8 years old."
