De stoere én vrolijke jongenskamer van Jonah

Jonah's cool and cheerful boy's room

Color inspiration for a cool and cheerful boy's room

Decorating a boy's room is always a fun challenge. You want to create a space where they can play, relax, and unwind. The right atmosphere in the room ensures your child feels completely at home in their own space, and color combinations and a beautiful use of wallpaper play a key role in this. For Tuk Make-Over, Elina gave Jonah's room a complete makeover: a cheerful yet subtle mix of green tones and graphic wallpaper makes this room a true boy's room, the perfect blend of playful, cool, and cozy.

Paint colours that provide peace and character

Jonah's boy's room has a calm, fresh base that simultaneously exudes character. It suits the cool Jonah without being too age-specific. After all, we're proponents of durable, timeless children's rooms that can grow with your child for years to come! The walls are painted in our warm green Hazelwood paint. , which immediately creates a warm atmosphere. Green is a color that works very well in a boy's room, and in Jonah's room, which is located on the north side of the house, green was a better choice than blue tones due to the cooler light. Hazelwood also looks extra fitting in Jonah's room when combined with the Studio Pieni wallpaper. Elina chose the Essie and Koos prints here, both with a checkered pattern. Nice and cool!

Playing with wallpaper: mix different prints in the nursery

Wallpaper prints instantly add a playful touch to a child's room. In Jonah's room, the Studio Pieni Essie and Koos wallpapers combine beautifully. These prints are also timeless and create a foundation in the room that can grow with Jonah for years to come. The Essie wallpaper is applied to the wall behind the bed, creating a cool focal point without making the room feel crowded. The unity created by the unifying color Hazelwood gives the room a sense of calm.

On the other side of the room, behind the desk and wardrobe, Hazelwood has been playfully combined with Koos wallpaper. This is achieved with painted wainscoting, approximately 120cm high, finished with a decorative wooden slat that creates a beautiful transition between paint and wallpaper. Painted wainscoting with wallpaper above it is a fun way to play with color and prints. And that's exactly what should happen in a child's room to make it just that little bit more cheerful and playful!

Removable wall paint in the children's room

Did you know that Day at the Zoo wall paint is scrub-resistant? This means you can easily clean your painted walls with a cloth. After all, accidents can easily happen in a child's room, especially with the youngest ones. Or a mural painted with pencils or crayons in no time ;)

The carefully chosen paint colors, tailored to his growth, will last a long time in Jonah's boy's room! And although Hazelwood is a medium-dark color from our paint collection, it doesn't make the room feel heavy or dark. It creates just the right atmosphere!
